The FACTS Viewer eXtended Function Water and Wastewater module extends the Basic Edition module to provide the functions needed to manage water distribution and wastewater collection asset networks. The XF Water and Wastewater module gives these departments a comprehensive tool with which to manage and monitor their asset networks on a day to day basis. More importantly, it is a work flow based mapping tool that was designed with operations personnel in mind. Thus, you don't have to become a mapping expert knee deep in complex technology to get something done. The FACTS Viewer XF Water and Wastewater module makes generating network maps easy. 

FACTS Viewer enables  users to track water main breaks and thus identify those pipes with higher breakage activity over time. This enables your organization  to more intelligently apply annual main replacement funds rather than simply replace pipes on an arbitrary basis. FACTS Viewer XF also manages routine activities such as hydrant flushing and valve inspection. Users can create flushing and inspection routes and can create a list of hydrants and valves for field crew use. 

Main Break Isolation

The XF module enables users to quickly and easily isolate valves when main breaks occur, thereby reducing the response time to fix a break. This also helps minimize  the number of potential users affected by valve shut-offs as the least disruptive valves necessary to isolate a break can be identified.  

GASB 34 Reporting

Governmental Accounting Standards Board rule number 34 (GASB 34) requires municipalities to report infrastructure assets which are defined as long-lived capital assets. FACTS Viewer XF provides users with standard and ad hoc reporting tools to assist in complying with GASB 34 requirements. The XF module enables users to track ongoing maintenance activity which is particularly useful for those municipalities that choose to report assets via the Modified Approach. Beyond GASB 34, the asset reporting and charting functions are a great aid in managing day to day operations. 

Engineering Analysis

FACTS Viewer XF enables users to export valid network data in a format suitable for direct import and use in external water distribution analysis packages such as WaterCad and EPANet. FACTS Viewer XF contains the tools to intelligently skeletonize the water network for export thus saving significant time and money in solving water network model related issues.  

Work Order Ticketing

The FACTS Viewer XF architecture is built around a work order management concept. The program enables users to generate work order tickets for asset related maintenance activity and maintain a database of ongoing work ticket activity. For selected existing assets, the program enables automatic retrieval and printing of asset information on the Work Order ticket for use in field activity.  

Sewer Profiling

FACTS Viewer XF enables wastewater network users to create and print profiles for sewer mains. Profiles are created using sewer manhole elevations and inverts.
